For over 2 years his name was, Federal Inmate Number 08657-041.  Before that, Jerome Mayne was the president
of Mayne Mortgage and Neighborhood Redevelopment Corp., respected in the financial community and the father
of two young boys.

Through his talk, Fraud & Consequences, he tells the story of how he got caught up in a fraud conspiracy that led to
complete financial and psychological collapse.  He specifically addresses unethical behaviors that occur in the
“business as usual” culture that exists in the real estate and finance industry today.

This course also includes: fraud defined, statistics, statutes, scams, case law, ethical standards, FBI
investigations, criminal indictment, pre-trial, conviction, prison, post prison career choices and most of importantly -
the devastating effects this experience has on associates, friends and family.

All That Ethical Jazz                       2 hours        2 credits
Did you ever go with the flow because it was just easier than asserting your values?  Did you ever make a choice
that you thought was a bit outside the lines?  How many times did that decision haunt you?  Ethics is more than
just the actions you take when faced with tough choices, it is how you behave as a professional every day.  Self
confidence combined with creative problem solving leads to stronger values and quality ethical choices.

In this interactive workshop, Jerome Mayne leads the class through a variety of exciting exercises that will help you
deal with the day-to-day ethical challenges that every professional must face.  You will learn to tap into the many
creative choices you already have and make the right ethical decision - on the spot!

Sch-mortgageboard                      2 hours        2 credits
Fraud is not just crippling the mortgage industry.  In today’s real estate economic climate, fraud is affecting the
whole American Dream.  Part of the problem stems from the real estate licensee’s lack of the basic understanding
of the mortgage industry.  In most real estate transactions, a licensed real estate agent is typically the first person a
buyer – and, thus potential borrower, comes in contact with.  The licensee is the first line of defense.  This course
teaches them what to listen for.

This course also covers topics such as; where the money to purchase the home actually comes from, how
mortgages are sold, how loans are approved, basic qualifying criteria for a buyer/borrower, how to manage the
expectations of a potential buyer before they see the loan agent and how to spot and avoid schemes and scams.

After this course, real estate licensees will know how to watch for signs of fraud, misrepresentation and impropriety
in order to protect their license, reputation and career.
